Please read all instructions before you file your online report. You may only report incidents that have occurred in the City of South San Francisco. If the incident you are reporting occurred in another jurisdiction, please contact the appropriate police or sheriff's department. It is required the incident you are reporting occurred in the City of South San Francisco.

You cannot use this form IF YOU HAVE SUSPECT INFORMATION. You must call the Police Department at (650) 877-8900.

Please click on the appropriate crime or incident type below that applies (please click only one). Please note that the dollar amounts for the crime reports represent fair market values.

  • Bicycle Incident
  • Traffic matters related to bicycle safety, including violations of the 3ft rule. (If available, please include the violator vehicle's license plate number in the description field.)
  • Harassing Phone Calls
  • Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, threats (with no suspect information).
  • Lost Property
  • Lost property when property has been misplaced and a report is desired either for insurance or so the owner can be identified if property is found. (Includes passports, personal documents)
  • Other Property Crime
  • Other property crime where suspects are unknown. (CALL 911 IF THE CRIME IS IN PROGRESS!)
  • Theft
  • The theft of property when there is no suspect information, excluding firearms and materials threatening to public safety (i.e. explosives or highly toxic substances).
  • Vandalism
  • All vandalism (damage or defacing of property) with no suspect information, that is not a Hate Crime (crime based on religion, race, sexual preference or belief.
  • Vehicle Vandalism
  • Vandalism (i.e. window smash, tire flattened, paint scratched) to a vehicle without suspect information.
